Seremban Laksa Asia

I should have shown you guys this much earlier, but heck, better late than never, right? This is rated as one of my favorite around. Simply delicious.

Yup. The small bowl costs RM3.00. It used to cost RM2.50. Then it went up to RM2.80. Ceiling price is RM3, I hope. Bloody crude oil prices.....

The package includes some pork (non-halal prok), half an egg, si ham (kerang, cockles), taugeh and your choice of noodles. I prefer just plain noodles. Not mihun. How to find the place you ask?

Take the second exit to Port Dickson. Pass the toll booth. You should see a traffic light. Turn right. Then you will see a left turning. Turn left. You should pass a Perodua dealer on your right. Follow the road straight all the way. Pass the Kong Guan Biscuit factory, over the bridge. Find a parking opposite the post office. The shop is beside a another shop selling food. If I'm not mistaken, the name of the shop is Restoran Laksa Asia or something like that la. Good luck in finding the place, and do leave me a feedback, if you happen to find it, and please tell me if the food is nice. hehee

Penang Part II

Penang Part II

View from the hotel room. One heck of a nice view of KOMTAR. The room was a little on the basic side, although it IS a 5 star hotel. -.-
We went out after we had checked in. Mom liked to go to Pasar Chowrasta. One nice place, if you like food. Otherwise boring. Hehe. I did find a toy shop, which had a massive amount of r/c cars, helicopter and boats. Prices were not too cheap though. Then came the famous Penang Cendol. Nice….. At only RM1.80, it was indeed cheap.
The location
After the cendol, came another awesome meal, which is -:

So many people !!

The others are fake, I was told.

Yes. Chicken chop. Not any normal chicken chop. This costs ONLY RM3.50. No joke. But (there has to be a “but”, eh?)the wait can make you hair turn white. It was a whopping 45 minute wait for the chicken chop to come. Well, the thing is simple, if you want to eat cheap, wait, otherwise, leave. Cool shit.
My dad and sis then had a buffet dinner, while my mom, me and my bro stayed in the hotel room eating, err, Hokkien Mee, which err, is Prawn Mee. Damn Penagites.. Hehe.. The Char Kuey Teow is also delicious. Damn. Penang=Food Haven.
As night came in, I took another shot of KOMTAR

Not really nice. KLCC had more light, IMHO. Hehehe…

In the morning, which was around 5:30am, (dun ask me why I got up so early), I waited patiently for the sunrise..
And then, an hour later…..

SUN !!
Not very much though. Then a wee bit later on,….

Nice.. Too bad I’ll be leaving Penang on this day…
My bro and sis went for buffet breakfast, and so me and my parents decided to look around for some food.
Then we saw this shop

Yum..Chicken rice..

The rice. Nice….

Quite generous with the soup

What’s chicken rice w/o chicken? Dun ask me~~

Penang Part I

Penang Part I
It has been quite some time since I last update my blog. Hehe. Anyway, last weekend, I drove my family to Penang. The drive was rather fun. And since the Optra is auto, no gearshifting was required from me. And my left leg did get a little too bored. (Read: no clutch). Since the road was so straight, I had to find some means to keep myself entertained. Then it happened. A gold Vios came into my rearview mirror. I was doing less than 110 km/h. So naturally the guy behind me would want to overtake me. Me, on the other hand, half kiasu and half bored, decided to rev the Optra to 4000rpm and let the power kick in. Soon I was doing 110++. Poor Vios, he seems to be stuck at 110! I even went as slow as 110 for him to overtake, but he still didn’t. 2 reasons. 1, he is very very very law abiding, in which he WILL/MUST follow the speed limit of 110 km/h. Or – the poor dude has a speed limiter on his car capped at 110. Whatever the reason, I played with him a few times, till I had to overtake a few cars and lost sight of the poor fella. Hehehe. And strangely enough, that Saturday seemed to be a Vios day, where 3 in every 5 cars were a Vios. I was dumbfounded. They seem to overtake me relatively easily. I did not bother to race them, even though the RON95 price has dropped. I did however, got relatively fed up with a particular WRM registered P2 ViVa. I overtook the nut at 120++, and maintained at 110. He would then overtake me at, hmm, more than that. Light, lack of ABS, EBD is a delicious recipe for a nice accident. Heh Heh.

Anyway, my dad decided that we should stop by at Ipoh for, err, breakfast. It was around 10am, so I guess it does qualify for breakfast. And boy, Ipoh girls are indeed hawt. Saw a few, can’t stop picking my damn jaws from the floor. Enough of girls, the food was delicious. Too bad I was not in a mood to snap pics of the food. I wonder why…..

I continued the journey a little later, where things were, well, kinda boring. The road was so straight that I swore that it joins the sky. No idiots going fast, but there was a convoy of Volvos. I was indeed tempted to outrun one of them, but since Volvos has low pressured turbos, I guess that doing so is, well, stupid. p/s, not all has turbo, only those with the T4 or T5 rating, but heck, they are powerful.

Upon reaching Penang, this greeted me.

Jam. God damn jam. Screw it. The jam was like poo, shit, dung, whatever you call it. I was stuck in the jam BEFORE the Penang Bridge for a whole 45 minutes !! Anyway, after the jam had been cleared, I drove on the Penang Bridge for the first time. Huhuhu. Too bad the traffic was a little on the heavy side, otherwise I would be breaking every speed limit I see.

Dad checked into the hotel little after 3, in which I was damn exhausted after driving for, more than 7 hours. Boy driving was fun.
